Privacy summary: FocusFlow is designed to work primarily on your device. No account is required. Most FocusFlow information is stored locally in your browser. Optional features may send limited information to third-party services only when you choose to use those features.

1. About FocusFlow

FocusFlow – Intentional Tab Design is a browser extension that provides a calm new-tab workspace with focus timers, task and note tools, website blocking, progress tracking, quick links, optional weather, and related productivity features.

2. Information FocusFlow handles

Depending on the features you use, FocusFlow may handle the following information:

Name: if you choose to enter a name for personalization.
Productivity information: tasks, notes, focus-session information, completed-session history, reflections, goals, timers, lists, links, settings, and similar data you create in the extension.
Website information: websites you add to a block list, and—only if you grant the optional tabs permission and use the tab-collection feature—the titles and URLs of tabs you choose to save.
Weather location: if you enable weather and enter a city, FocusFlow uses that city to request location coordinates and forecast data.
User-added content: information or images you intentionally add to supported FocusFlow features.

3. Where information is stored

FocusFlow stores its main settings and productivity data locally in your browser profile using browser storage. FocusFlow does not require a FocusFlow account or a FocusFlow cloud database for these features.

4. Optional weather service

If you enable the weather feature, the city you enter is sent to Open-Meteo's geocoding service to find coordinates. Those coordinates are then sent to Open-Meteo to retrieve weather information. FocusFlow does not use this feature to continuously track your location.

5. Search providers and external websites

If you use a FocusFlow feature that opens a web search or an external website, your browser communicates directly with the website or search provider you selected. Those services operate under their own privacy policies. FocusFlow does not operate those third-party services.

6. Website blocking

When website blocking is enabled, FocusFlow uses Chrome's declarative network request functionality and host access granted by you to enforce the websites you chose to block during focus sessions. This functionality is used for the extension's productivity purpose and not for advertising or profiling.

7. Sale and advertising use of data

FocusFlow does not sell user data. FocusFlow does not use user data for creditworthiness or lending decisions, and does not use user data for purposes unrelated to the extension's productivity features.

8. Data sharing

FocusFlow does not transfer your locally stored productivity data to a FocusFlow server. Limited information may be sent to third-party services when necessary for a feature you explicitly use, such as the city and coordinates used for Open-Meteo weather requests or information you intentionally submit to a search provider.

9. Data retention and deletion

Locally stored FocusFlow information remains in your browser profile until you remove it through FocusFlow, clear the relevant browser/extension storage, or uninstall the extension. Third-party services may retain information according to their own policies.

10. Security

FocusFlow is built to minimize unnecessary data transmission by keeping its main productivity data local. No method of electronic storage is completely risk-free, so users should avoid storing highly sensitive information in notes or other free-text fields.

11. Changes to this policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated if FocusFlow's features or data practices change. The latest version will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
